DAY 1 ~ 3

Dry Out Your Tattoo

  1. Take off the bandage 5 hours after tattooing. Wash carefully with warm water and anti-bacterial soap (or regular soap)
    * Don’t cover the tattoo with saran wrap or any bandage again.

  2. Take off the bandage 5 hours after tattooing. Wash carefully with warm water and anti-bacterial soap (or regular soap).

  3. The skin will discharge some blood and fluid. It could form a scab that will damage your tattoo so you have to constantly make your skin dry with a clean towel or a paper towel.

  4. To soothe if you feel sore and itchy, apply lotion to the tattooed area in a thin layer once or twice a day.

If there are any signs of infection such as redness around the tattoo, soreness or oozing not stopping even after 3 days, do not hesitate to call the shop or a doctor.

DAY 4 ~ 14

Moisturize Your Tattoo

  1. When your skin stops discharging any fluid, you’ll need to put a thin layer of lotion to prevent dehydration of the skin. Apply lotion whenever you feel it’s getting dry.

  2. After a week or so, light scabs may begin to form. Do not scratch or pick the scab. Tapping is OK.

  3. During the healing process, you may see dry skin flake off. This is normal and will eventually clear up. Keep moisturizing with a lotion.
